E14: Black Belt 3/3 - Living To Tell The Tale

Season 1 Episode 14

This episode is the third of three for the Black Belt.

It's also the last episode in the series. So, make this listening experience special for yourself.

Turn off the lights, light a candle, get a cozy blanket, open a window if you can let in the nature sounds, make yourself a tea, do anything you want to make it special. Believe me, this episode is worth it.

In this episode, we release a philosophy as a mentorship program worthy of a metanarrative. We know this is true when our audience’s eyes widen and they get a tingling sensation in their chest.

We'll also have completed the loop of the Black Belt, which enables us to give recently liberated Black Belt a tour of nirvana.

Lastly, we're enabled to liberate Visionary 4.0s. These are the people who venture where no one has gone before and come back to tell the tale.

In this episode, we'll touch on the following topics:

  • ripple-effect revisions
  • Visionary 4.0
  • liberation

Black 3 - coming back to tell the tale

Welcome back to Meta Zen. The podcast for cleaning and unlocking the mind without ever crossing our fingers.

I’m your host and mentor, Marc Bubel.

To get the best experience from this podcast, listen to the episodes in sequence.

In episode 12, we let our consciousness heal and let it remain objective in the face of our own judgment. In episode 13, we started to unravel patterns of mental barriers.

In this episode, we release a philosophy as a mentorship program worthy of a metanarrative. We will know this is true when our audience’s eyes widen and they get a tingling sensation in their chest time and time again.

Let’s get started.

4d successful launch

Once we find a mentorship program to develop, it becomes an obsession—there will be occasional periods of insomnia and there will be times when we are tempted to quit or use conventional ambition.

We know the obsession is true. Look at all the writing our ancestors had done on Palm leaves, bamboo and other exotic materials. They seriously wanted to tell future generations something…didn't they?

When quitting is being considered, we sense the unrelenting pressure of the status quo. But now that we are conscious of the way to unravel widespread mental barriers, we continue developing mentorship programs.

Perfection is not essential. As long as all points of view are receiving the respect they deserve, our mentorship program will be able to stand on its own two feet.

Now, there is an interesting feature of any ambitious effort and it’s called a cascading revision.

When we come closer to mapping the final strokes of our ambition, a cascading revision appears, which results in an update to many earlier sections of the work.

For example, after I completed the content of the podcast, I developed an accelerated mentoring-the-mentor program. This inspired me to improve the introductions of each episode. This also led to light revisions within a few episodes as well.

This podcast is what appears to be its fourth structural arrangement and this version has had many cascading revisions. This effort is known as continuous improvement, which is a centuries old concept that appears to have sparked in China, formalized in Japan and nudged along by Buddhism. At the time of this writing, continuous improvement is spreading like wildfire throughout the world particularly in programming.

In summary, we revise our work again and again until the structure has found harmonics like the belts for Meta Zen. When cascading revisions seem to stop on their own and all we have left are tweaks, what remains are the harmonics, which will shine through thousands of years of misinterpretation.

Through this process, we've overshot our target and we've recalibrated ourselves many times. We are becoming as skillful as an archer who can hit the bullseye with confidence. Like we did for the CTW Shower.

That's good enough for the mentorship program to sustain itself without getting stuck in a dead end, which we call the ignorance of bliss.

When your Mentorship Program keeps hitting the bullseye like the simple Arya Eightfold Path discussion in the previous episode or FIFA’s 2016 kickoff rule, you’ve achieved the Fourth-Degree Black Belt.

That’s liberation.

Nine

When successors embrace the Mentorship Program and multiply in number, we become liberated to do whatever we want.

This means we have returned to the First-Degree Black Belt.

Ah-mazing.

As we’ve been here before, we know what we're doing. Instead of the light understanding of nirvana we had the first time we got here, this time, we’re able to give others…a tour of nirvana.

We do this through the Second-Degree Black Belt but we didn’t notice it the first time around did we?

Naturally, some protégés will become overjoyed by the potential and start promoting Meta Zen. Yet, as we know this metanarrative beforehand, we remind protégés of the Four Questions discussed in episode 12.

As a fourth-degree black belt, we’re ready to mentor a successor to establish a mentorship program. This means, we’re reliving the Third- and Fourth-Degree Black Belts. We might establish yet another mentorship program that returns us to the 1st degree black belt. Like I did when I explained the Arya Eightfold Path in the previous episode.

Notice, the Meta Zen belts are unfolding in the shape of the number nine. In other words, we cycle through the four degrees of Black Belts again and again. This develops our Black Belt artform.

Ah-mazing.

The more that we cycle through the degrees, the more transparency we uncover. Most specifically, we learn how our mentorship program begins well then rests in a lower harmonic. Like the protégé=mentor relationship, monkhood and patronage.

Then…we realize that this is a pattern that needs to be unraveled for the benefit of our civilization.

This leads us to pursue the Fifth-Degree Black Belt.

5d

Remember from White Belt Lesson 6, I mentioned our ancestors reverse engineered nirvana and mapped out how to achieve it.

What they didn't anticipate was what would happen once it became mainstream. Through the 5th degree black belt, we’re overcoming that obstacle.

We overcome this obstacle using…harmonics.

Remember from episode 6, we know that once the Mentorship Program goes mainstream, it will start getting promoted instead of demonstrated. This happens because some people think…promoting something makes a bigger difference than…demonstrating something. That's someone's judgement upstaging objectivity.

All promotion does however, is create a façade that hides nirvana and creates ethical dilemmas, which divides people and brings an end to an emergence.

Remember the metanarrative discussed in the previous episode for the Eightfold Path. People might promote the Arya Eightfold Path instead of demonstrating it. In other words, they use Conventional Ambition discussed in Episode 5 to promote it.

Promotion, while effective in the short-term, overlooks sharing transparency that enables those with different points of view to understand the rationale. As a result, promotion indirectly discourages objectivity and encourages the vilification of those who are focusing on demonstrating objectivity.

This encourages division, which eventually spirals out of control and delays prosperity for decades, centuries and millennia. Like mentorship, monkhood and the patron artform as discussed in episode 8.

Remember, we’re not accountable for what we've inherited, we're only accountable if we keep up the façade.

How do we enable our successors to manage this inevitability?

Simple.

There are two details:

First, we use the metanarrative to describe the mentorship program in everyday terms. Take a look at your notes for the third harmonic for the patron.

Second, we use the metanarrative to enable successors who are not even born yet. This topic was first discussed in episode 11.

In other words, we let our successors know the mentorship program will become promoted instead of demonstrated. Then, when our successors see the temptation to begin promoting the mentorship program, they enter the fourth harmonic for the patron and they continue advancing the patron artform. Those that progress stop narratives in their tracks and help enable civilization to achieve the World’s Greatest Ambition.

For example, a Wikipedia editor can update the page for the Eightfold Path, capture the transparency and cite this podcast. When that day comes, it would be as game changing as FIFA updating the kickoff rule in 2016. It will then be as transparent as the sun rising in the east.

In conclusion, the Fifth-Degree Black Belt is someone who creates a mentorship program as a metanarrative, which enables their successors to become Visionary 4.0s.

For transparency, Visionary 4.0s express metanarratives.

Where we go from here

In your journal, start at the bottom and draw a number nine. As you complete the first loop, continue cycling around. Continue this circular motion and slowly lift your pen off the page. As your pen rises off the page, that’s the Fifth-Degree Black Belt.

This is like a vortex that elevates the Black Belt to another level. When the 5th degree black belt becomes a familiar experience, we become liberated from the Black Belt and become what I describe in the next episode.
